10,000 Xpres T electric sedans for BluSmart


The country’s largest electric vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors recently announced that it has secured the biggest ever single EV order in the country so far. On the occasion of World Environment Day, Tata Motors struck a deal with BluSmart Electric Mobility to provide 10,000 Xpres T EVs to the firm, making it the biggest electric vehicle fleet delivery order in the country.

These vehicles, which will be delivered shortly, and will be an addition to the 3,500 Xpres T EV order signed by both firms in October last year. These vehicles will be used for commuters around the country, helping to reduce the carbon impact.

The Tata XPres T is basically the commercial version of the Tata Tigor,

Tata Motors launched the Xpres  brand solely for fleet clients in the July of last year, and the XPRES-T EV was the first car under this brand. The XPRES-T electric vehicle comes available in two ranges: 213km and 165km (ARAI certified range under test conditions). It has a high energy density battery of 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh and can be charged from 0% to 80% in 90 minutes and 110 minutes, respectively, utilising fast charging or from any 15 A plug point, which is easily accessible and convenient. It has a zero-emission tailpipe, a single-speed automatic transmission, two airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard across all models. The premium black theme inside has standard automatic climate control and Electric Blue accents throughout.

Speaking on the occasion, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, “Tata Motors is taking active steps towards the rapid electrification of mobility, and it is heartening to see renowned fleet aggregators joining the green mobility wave with us. We are delighted to continue our association with BluSmart Electric Mobility as we deploy 10,000 XPRES-T EVs across the country.”
