Bubbl&Co., new natural brand donates 5,550 weeks of clean water – Retail Times
Effervescent tablets have seen little change in the past 40 years, despite being a $10 billion global market. While most tablets contain artificial sweeteners, fillers and little much by means of function, there is one brand that does it differently – Bubbl&Co.
Co-founders Ben Hopkins and Sam Hogan use natural ingredients, adaptogens and a special type of lubrication in the manufacturing process to rapidly-produce tablets that offer great functionality, creating a wide range of health benefits.
Ben, who previously worked in the oil and gas industry, wanted to do something more fulfilling. He used to be passionate about extracts and botanical ingredients. When he was a teenager, he used to wander the isles in Wholefoods pestering the shop assistants with all kinds of questions on what the different extracts did.
Together with his best friend Sam, they launched the brand n February. Since the launch, Bubbl&Co has gained listings with retail stores nationwide, including The Vegan Kind.
Ben and Sam combine running the business with doing good for the people and the planet. Bubbl&Co collaborates with Charity Water, and together with their customers, they have donated over 5500 weeks of clean drinking water to those in need. Their mission is to inspire business for profit and positive change through the products they make and the water they donate whilst having some fun along the way.
We asked them a few questions to learn more about how they do it and why they do it.

What are your products like?
Bubbly, natural, functional, bought by bubbly people. Who buys Bubbls?
Health-conscious people who care about doing good for themselves and others. They vote with their wallet for the values that align with their worldview.
What makes your products unique?
Time in RnD, the kinds of ingredients we use crease the functionality, nothing artificial with a cause to do good. Large relevant sample sizes are a statistician’s best friend. We spent two years in RnD, travelling through academic research and searching for active ingredients that move the needle for your own health. It took another six months to develop the process to get them into a tablet.
What makes your tablets better than the others?
Our Bubbls do things. We exist because we couldn’t find what we wanted, natural, functional effervescent tablets that do specific things for your help.
What do you love the most about your products?
The duel approach. We do good for you and good for people in need with every tube sold. It’s something that really resonates with us, our customers and the communities we operate in. It’s a win-win-win all around and makes the daily work much more fun and fulfilling.
What does it mean for you to be a sustainable brand?
Lose sustainability; by definition, you die. Win-Win is the only sustainable outcome in any game theory scenario. Win-lose doesn’t scale over time. So if everything in the business is structured to be win-win, the business will thrive. It’s the biggest blind spot in business. Being ethical is a great business. Taking the high road is the right way to behave in our view; it also pays more, so it always amazes me why people take shortcuts they will pay for down the line. A line I like a lot goes, ” If all these crooks knew how much money there was in being ethical, they wouldn’t be crooks for much longer”! I love our sleeping product pause. Although, one better than our product when it comes to sleep is a clean conscious.
How does your business have a positive impact on the planet?
For every tube we sell, we donate a week of clean water. We could have more free cash flow without this, but it’s more fun a fulfilling to try to be a business for profit and positive change.
What is the next big thing for your business?
