Dating app Thursday chooses Eatplanted as plant-based ‘meat’ partner and creates Michelin star food pop-up to get people to ‘Meat in the Middle’
Dating app Thursday has partnered with Eatplanted, Europe’s number one alternative meat company as their first plant-based meat partner for the Meat in the Middle Cafe. The partnership also sees Thursday co-create a lunchtime event with Eatplanted for their first ever lunchtime event, as well as their popular evening get together.
The co-branded cafe is being launched on 21st July on Great Eastern Street in Shoreditch as it invites passers-by to grab a free Michelin starred plant-based lunch. By night the doors open exclusively for Thursday singles where they can ‘meat’ & mingle with other singles, no matter their dietary preference. The evening event will feature a pop-up bar alongside Eatplanted’s plant-based meat dishes.
Thursday’s brand partnerships lead, Jess Wreford, said “The great thing about partnering with Eatplanted is that it invites our members to try something different in a super accessible way. At the moment we’re running up to 20 singles events just in London, every Thursday, so it is imperative that we deliver a diverse range of events and that there really is something for everyone, as well as encouraging our members to get out of their comfort zone. We love that Eatplanted’s ethos is not about shaming anyone who isn’t living the plant-based way but actually inviting people to try something new and proving that plant-based meals really can be delicious. Who knows what could happen this Thursday at Meat in the Middle!”
Eatplanted’s UK marketing lead, Olivia Sinclair said, “Being the first meat alternative brand chosen by Thursday to partner with means we get their legions of singles enjoying and tasting our plant-based meat, whether they are flexitarian, vegan or fancy trying something new. It’s good to think our Meat in the Middle café could be where they ‘meat’ their lifelong partner over a tasty bite.
If you want to grab a free Michelin star lunch on Eatplanted and Thursday head down to Meat in the Middle Café, 46 Great Eastern St, London EC2A 3EP, Thursday 21st July, 12-4pm.
