Garuda Aerospace maps 7,000 villages in UP with drones below Svamitva Scheme | Digit


Chennai, Sep 15 (IANS) The Chennai-based Garuda Aerospace, a Drones-as-a-Service (DaaS) startup, has efficiently mapped 7,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh below the Svamitva Scheme.

The corporate received the tender from the nodal company, The Survey of India in September 2021.

As per the tender, Garuda Aerospace was authorised to deploy drones for large-scale mapping and digitisations of land information in rural areas, thereby empowering land-owners and farmers with correct digital land certificates and a novel id that allows them to get a format of their total land with exact and all data.

Because the winner of the biggest order, Garuda Aerospace deployed 15 fixed-wing drones for the aim of mapping on the velocity of 8 to 10 sq kms per hour.

Of the 140,000 villages, Garuda Aerospace has efficiently mapped 7,000 villages, the best variety of villages mapped by any drone firm inside a 12 months.

“We have now accomplished over 7,000 villages in UP within the final one 12 months and hope to deploy drones and goal a number of extra villages within the subsequent couple of months. We launched a fixed-wing drone which appears like an aeroplane with wings and may cowl a major space inside minutes,” Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder, CEO, Garuda Aerospace mentioned.
