Man doing push-ups on a moving truck falls down; Cops share the video
It has become a trend of doing strange or never-seen-before things to get viral on social media. While doing such antics can be amusing sometimes, it can also turn out to be fatal and avoidable. One such silly antics grabbed some limelight when a video of a man doing pushups on the top of a moving garbage-collecting vehicle went viral on social media. However, the video had a sad ending, as the man fell while performing the unwanted stunt and sustained serious injuries on his body.

The instance talked about here is from Gomtinagar, Lucknow, where a man was performing pushups and standing dangerously on the top of a moving garbage-collecting vehicle on the empty streets during the night hours. In the video, we can see that the man stood up after performing pushups atop the vehicle. However, after a few seconds, the man fell from the top of the moving vehicle. After a small transition within the video, we can also see the disturbing pictures of the man showing bruises throughout his body.
Shared by police
The video was shared by a cop named Shweta Srivastava on her Twitter handle, which went viral and has garnered over 2.65 lakh views. In the caption of her post, the cop mentioned that this video is from Gomtinagar, Lucknow, where this man was trying to be Shaktiman (a fictitious Indian superhero). However, due to his careless antics, he is now suffering from bruises and now will not be able to even sit for a few days.
She concluded her post by advising people not to perform such dangerous stunts, with the statement ‘Shatiman Nahi, Buddhiman Banein’ (don’t be a wannabe superhero, but be sensible enough, to not perform such dangerous stunts). The visuals of the man with his injuries on his body are disturbing, which is why much of the injuries are covered by blurs.
Apart from the general views, the post also attracted a lot of comments from the netizens. While some laughed over such silly antics by the man, some also pointed out the grieving circumstances people can suffer from doing such antics. Some even mentioned that it has become a silly and dangerous trend to flout basic civil and traffic laws to become ‘famous’ on social media. At the same time, some even showed sympathy for the man for suffering from the injuries.
Stunting on public roads
The cops are now using viral videos to issue challans. This is not the first such incident in Ghaziabad where the offenders were tracked using video footage. In the past, two girls doing stunts on Royal Enfield motorcycles and youths doing stunts on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza received challan from the police on the basis of viral videos.
Doing any kind of stunts on public roads is illegal and the violators can even go to jail along with paying massive fines. Doing stunts on public roads can land you in a spot due to various reasons. If anyone wants to practice stunting or want to record videos, it should be done on private property such as race tracks and even farmhouses. Also, one should take note that such stunts are extremely dangerous.
