SABC refutes claims Tbo Contact will earn R480K a month at Metro FM



The South African Broadcasting Company (SABC) refutes claims that Tbo Contact shall be incomes R480 000 per thirty days at Metro FM.

The general public broadcaster stated all the knowledge printed is factually incorrect, slamming the claims made by Sunday World about Contact’s month-to-month wage, advantages and an R30 000 automobile allowance.

In a press release issued by Gugu Ntuli, Group Govt Company Affairs and Advertising, the SABC clarified that freelancers don’t earn half the quantity the publication claimed Tbo Contact could be making.

“The general public broadcaster rejects this deliberate misinformation as it’s deceptive and factually incorrect. The SABC’s GCEO doesn’t become involved in line-up negotiations, as that’s the job of programme managers and enterprise managers.”

As well as, the SABC cleared up that automobile allowances and different fringe advantages don’t apply to freelancers.

“The SABC’s radio stations are guided by EXCO-approved standardized freelance charges. Lastly, impartial contractors don’t become involved in soliciting gross sales and sponsorship, because the SABC doesn’t have a fee scheme masking people exterior gross sales employees.”
